Indication

Treatment of adults (age > 18 years) with mild, moderate and severe infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms for acute bacterial sinusitis, exacerbations, nasocornial pneumonia.

Dose

General dose: 250 mg - 750 mg given orally every 24 hours as indicated based on the infection.
This recommendation applies to patients with normal kidneys.
The oral dose should be given at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after antacids containing magnesium, aluminum, and sucralfate.
